Welcome to Corazon del Pueblo, serving Oakland and the Bay Area for over 10 years. We are the premiere retailer of Chicano, Mexican and Latin American folk art celebrating major cultural holidays and celebrations. Our motto is that we celebrate "Artesania" and the hands that make it. We are confident you will find what you are looking for here at Corazon del Pueblo, if not on-line then pay us a visit!

If you are nearby, please stop by and visit our cultural center in the rear gallery, an ofrenda honoring La Virgen de Guadalupe adorns the space, and it is quite beautiful this year. Every year we feature a different theme and invite artists to participate and create a true "Corazon del Pueblo"!

La Cultura Cura!

This time of year we celebrate the appearance of La Virgen de Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin at Teyepac. During this time of year, December 12th, large Church masses and celebrations commemorate this apparition, and children (some adults too) dress as an "Indito" to honor La Virgen. We have a full line of Indito clothing for small children to adult sizes as pictured above.

Building an altar
(ofrenda)?

Altars can be put up any time of year, we have one up nearly year round for a variety of occassions and commemorations. We have everything you could possibly need to build an altar in your home, office of classroom.
